FPS performance falls dramatically as game progresses
- fresh games start at 100+ FPS with just my Main Base
- at about 4 expansions i'm already averaging 40FPS, most of the time in the 20's
- switching between DirectX and OpenGL, setting VSYNC on/off, going to the lowest settings, and running the game either at 1x or 2x speed doesn't make performance differences
- having 5 live video streams through a browser running on a second monitor, 2 browsers open with 20 tabs in each, and having no extra programs running on the side doesn't make a difference
- playing the game after a fresh restart with no other programs running does not make a difference
- GPU/CPU temps are always under 60 with the fan still running on low speed
- GPU/CPU loads are always under 10%

Came back to Dune, decided I really like it and I don't know why I uninstalled..
Yup. FPS drop that makes the game very choppy and irritating to play during late-game.
C'mon, do something ;) -

TWI appreciate engine issues can be challenging to solve, but given how even powerful PCs are struggling I feel this has to be a top priority.
Huge fan of the game - but this I think crosses the line from "issue" to a little unacceptable for a game post-early access. I've tested this across multiple PCs with the same outcome. -

GregoryUnfortunately, no change with "Community Update #3". Same stuttering regardless of graphic settings with minimal CPU/GPU usage.

MarkThe game is very nice, but still unpleyable after 20 min. Year ago i droped dune because of this perfomance issue. 10 months later despite many updates game's still stuttering. Why don't you fix it?

MossySlothLoving the game, but it's barely playable. Even starting a brand new game I can be getting frame stutters, which just get worse to the point of the game being barely playable. On top of this, it consistent crashes approximately every 150 minutes, so I constantly have to remember to restart the game.
7800X3D and a 4090. Running at 4k.
Tried both DirectX and OpenGL, Fullscreen exclusive and fullscreen window. Vsync on and off. Frame rate limit at 120 and turned down to 60 today. Verified integrity of files through Steam multiple times and it always reports fine.
Love the game, but man does it just suck to play with these performance issues. -

WillStarted playing the game after a few months pause, but I noticed the drop in fps after zooming out to view entire battlefield and then zooming back in. The stutter is really bad, but after going back and forth to windows (to see the task manager), the stutter is gone.

ElectrowolfAdditionally, once the frames drop the game also becomes uncontrollable. The game simply doesn't register when you press buttons or click the mouse. Seems it is so busy with the units on the screen it forget to accept input.

SaRed20220Это происходит просто в радомный момент,причём обычно заниамет несколько минут,если игру свернуть несколько раз то отвисает,но после 2-3 раз игра просто зависает и закрывается

GrindPlayerIt's a memory leak that only happen with directX (but OpenGL have the brown fog of death bug...).
I have 32 gigas of ram.
The game begin around 2 to finish around 20/22 gigas ram used before crahing (sometime even the whole computer).
Having more an more stuttering and frame drop in the process, of course. -
